Emma is sweet and lovable Maranda Emma is sweet and lovable, but my goodness calm the crap down. This is literally the same set up as the first book in the Bridal Quartet where Mac is a bit gun shy due to past hurts with her parents divorce. Except in that book her fears are totally rational and Carter is this great guy that gives her time. Here we are in book two and Jack is the gun shy guy and instead of being understanding, or . Loved It! I truly enjoy Nora Roberts' books and her books written under J.D. Robb; this one, being part of a quartet, was certainly no exception. The way the characters are built (you must start with book 1), you really feel as though you know them, so when they're happy, you're happy, and when they're sad, you're sad. I literally had to finish the last couple of chapters with a hankie in my hand, but I'd r. "A rose by any other name" according to Kindle Customer. Like the majority of all females in this country, I like Nora Roberts. (I'm a rabid J.D. Robb fan. My children constantly remind me that Eve and Roarke are fictional characters.) Because I like Roberts, I expected to love this look. I didn't; I liked it, well enough to get the second of the quartet, but not enough to love, love, love this novel.
