DESCRIPTION:

The last case he expects to be assigned is that of a murderer targeting a Psy Councillor's closest advisors. Sophia Russo is a Justice-Psy, cursed with the ability to retrieve memories from men and women so twisted even veteran cops keep their distance. Appointed as Max's liaison with the Psy, she finds herself fascinated by this human, her frozen heart threatening to thaw with forbidden emotion. Born with a natural shield that protects him against Psy mental invasions, he knows he has little chance of advancement within the Psy-dominated power structure. And the last woman he expects to compel him in the most sensual of ways is a Psy on the verge of a catastrophic mental fracture. But, her mind filled with other people's nightmares, other people's evil, she's standing on the border between sanity and a silken darkness that urges her to take justice into her own hands, to become judge, juryand ex

Another Good Alpha-Love Story. 3.5 Stars I enjoy the Psy-Changeling series and if you have read up to book 7 I’m sure you do too. Some of the uniqueness of the first few books of the series has definitely worn off and the subplot of the Psy-Net collapse and the council is maybe not progressing as quickly as I would like but I always enjoy the love stories involved. The story between Dev, leader of the Forgotten and the Shine group, and Katya a tortured psy whose silence has already been broken was the first look into how the Shadow Network is so much different than the Psy-Net. I loved these two together, even if Dev seemed like a heartless bastard at times I still always. Meh Honestly, this book really disappointed me. While I still like the world that Nalani Singh has built and the races she's created, those are the only reasons why I slog through these books at this point (and because there's a few questions I want answers to). I was hoping against hope that with a human protagonist we wouldn't have the whole "OMG! I must have sex with this person, right now!" vibe that seems to permeate these books, followed by the "You're MINE! I'll never let you go!"Yawn.Seems everyone in this world, regardless of race, is a sex-starved stalker. Too bad, because this world could be so much more.
