Rush said Great gift for someone in the medical field. Wow, this book is really beautiful. It is thick and solid and the pages are heavy and good quality. And oh my, the pictures are AMAZING. I purchased the Atlas of Human Anatomy and Surgery for my ER nurse husband as a birthday present and we can't stop looking at it. The information is so interesting, the diagrams are so precise and colorful; it's really surprising it isn't far more expensive. If you have a friend in the medical field I think this is a great gift optio. The art and visuals in Bourgery: Atlas of Human Anatomy and Surgery are superb. The art and visuals in this book are superb. Also interesting to see the surgery techniques. The book is not a large volume and may not be well suited for the coffee table. Regardless, we keep it on a bookcase near the living room and our guests seem drawn to it. We've caught a few thumbing through it looking enthralled.
