It is really more of an autobiography. Cesar has really done so much for troubled animals, and it is an interesting read, but I would not purchase this if you re looking to train a puppy or dog. I highly recommend Patricia B McConnell's training books, as well as the one by the monks. Patric. "Dogs are very smart, after a few times" according to Lu Ann. I'm not really a fan of Cesar. I find him to be a bit of a bully, after watching his show on TV. I much prefer Victoria Stillwell's postiive training methods. I am not a pushover owner and Victoria does not promote letting the dog get it's way. Her methods, however, are positive and really use such common sense approaches to problems. Well, common sense for someone that understands dogs.For example, to correct dogs that bark and act aggressively in the car, she blacked out the windows with constru. Good book, but makes one really long point again and again There is no doubting Cesar Millan's ability to control dogs. He's aware of it, dogs are aware of it, and thousands of dogs and owners he's helped over the years are aware of it.
