The book covers all individual areas of ERM and at the same time shows a great holistic perspective. It is impressive to see the authors use a language that allows the reader to follow every train of thought, even if you were new to the topic. "Straight to the value" with it's simplifying style of writing really is . "Round out your ERM knowledge" according to Max Rudolph. ERM: Straight to the Value is an excellent choice to round out your risk education. I come at ERM from a financial background (actuary/insurance), so the qualitative view of this book is very helpful as it approaches risk from a different, yet correct, view than I do.
