I listen to a lot of audiobooks as I have a long daily commute. These two early Connelly books sound as if a junior high school student was doing the reading. I literally threw the books away. What made it really sad is that I remember reading The Poet some years back, and it was an exciting, gripping tale - not so as narrated!.
