"Great inspiration, a lot of text" according to Maia Malanee. There are beautiful pictures, both new and old. I especially liked the section that focused on some of the regional styles. The book touches on things you wouldn't really think about at first, like patterns and materials.I did notice that there is a lot of text that is interesting to read, but there are times where the pict. "Stunning photography and informative text" according to Magdolyn. I am so glad I ignored those who complained about the text for this wonderful book. True, the author is clearly an art historian (hence "streamlined and functional" becomes "streamlined and functionalistic," thus referencing the Functionalist Movement) but it's hardly incomprehensible. This is an expansive, detailed, and ex. FABULOUS! SO MORE THAN 1960! Linda M. Smith My son and daughter-in-law are extremely excited about purchasing a 1959 house, and they are embracing this furniture style. Who knew?! We love it, and this book really helped us all embrace the style and help guide future purchases.
