The photos are excellent and the background stories about the owners and how the houses have evolved and survived over the ages,. This excellent study of Mid -century houses and history is a wonderful day or evening chair read!!. this is one of the best. A must-have for anyone interested in the subject Harley Billington Of the books that I've seen on mid-century houses, this is one of the best. A must-have for anyone interested in the subject. One thing I really like is that both original and current (post-renovation) floor plans are included. There are so many beautiful and iconic mid-century modern houses and of course this book can't cover them all, so I really hope there will be a second (and third, fourth) book produced with exactly the same format.
