Currently, Jim is semi-retired and owns a business in Yuma, Arizona. Jim credits several members who had more experience in the field collecting with extending is knowledge. He has fond memories of going through boxes of rocks that he had stored under his house, mostly from the same locations that Jim visits today. Jim studied Marine Biology and Business Administration as UCSB and USD and was a pitcher on the baseball team for both schools.
