I've used Rosetta Stone with little success and much frustration. This program has been a great way of relaxing and engaging my mind. My friend and I are using it and speaking back and forth to keep the other on their toes and utilize the program to eventually learn enough conversational Italian to utilize on a future trip abroad.There is not basic repetition of unrelated terminology or conjugations. You are given the basic components for conversing and are then shown how to utilize these different parts to build, edit and change sen. Fun and Easy This is the second time I've purchased this product I bought one for my daughter as she will be taking a cruise to Italy in a few months.It's fun and easy to learn some key phrases but don't expect to be fluent. It's perfect to use it in the car while I'm driving.My only complaint is that the box came in damaged and it was a gift.
