I know he was always seen as a "poor man's Stephen King", but I found them vastly different - Lightning, Twilight, Darkfall - I ate those books up. And they all had a touch of the unbelievable in one way or another, but it was never used a cheap plot devi. jackie said Found it hard to put this book down.. This book kept me wanting for more. I had a hard time putting this down. Definitely an edge of your seat reading. I like how Dean Koontz adds some humor into his writings. And dogs, well, always hoping that since he's a dog lover, they never get killed off or maimed bad. I consider this an easy read book.
