DESCRIPTION:

A Worthwhile Read on the True Power of Sexuality Sophfronia Scott Rob Bell takes on the daunting subject of sexuality and spirituality, specifically Christianity, and emerges with a discussion that is surprising, thought-provoking and by the end, uplifting. But this book isn't about, as one might think when one combines sex and religion in the mind, sin or what's sinful. It's not about what's good or bad and it's definitely not about anyone going. I wish i bought the hardcover. i love this book, i dont want to finish it, but when i do, ill reread it. theres always something to learn from this book and thats what i love about it! i try reading this as much as possible but i'm in the army so im always too tired to read. ugh, i know thats not a good excuse.lol, but yes, its wonderful and im trying to read as much as i can! i bring it with me everyday so when. Timothy M Collins said Meh, nothing ground-breaking here for Christians. Liked Love Wins?? Think that Rob Bell might revolutionize Christianity?! I think he started something with Love Wins, but I don't think this book follows in it's footsteps. Sex is treated very 1-dimensionally in this book. It's all about 'the need for intimacy'. There is no mention of hormones, or sex drive, or evolution, or birth control, or abortion, or homosexuality, or anything

And that will inevitably lead you to who made us. Something behind it all. And when you talk about sexuality, you quickly end up in the spiritual - because "this" is always about "that". God. Where the one is, you will always find the other. Sex. When you actually live and feel and engage, you discover that the physical things around us are like windows into more. To make sense of the one, we have to explore the other. About how we relate to each other. You know the two subjects are connected; you just don't have the words for how they are connected. You can't talk about sexuality without talking about how we were made. At some point you have to talk about God. And they cannot be separated. Something deeper. About how we were made to relate to each other. That is what this book is about.
