"""The 4 Disciplines of Execution" helps leaders, teams, and front line employees to narrow their focus and spend their time executing those things that will bring the highest return for their organization and customers. Any organization can create these same kinds of breakthrough results if they apply the principles and processes taught in this book!"--J.W. As we have partnered with FranklinCovey to apply the methodology and process globally throughout our organization, it has not only had a significant impact on our organization's business results, but it has been transformational for me as a leader, both personally and professionally."--Jeff Simm

Covey earned an MBA from Harvard and a doctorate from BYU, where he was a professor of organizational behavior. He and his wife live in the Rocky Mountains of Utah.Chris McChesney is the Global Practice Leader of Execution for FranklinCovey and one of the primary developers of The 4 Disciplines of Execution. . The book has sold nearly 20 million copies, and after 20 years, still holds a place on most best-

Executing strategic goals is the greatest challenge in business today. Imagine an organization where every team—from senior leadership to the front line—is focused on the most important priorities and committed to achieving the Wildly Important Goals.FranklinCovey has studied the topic of execution for several years in thousands of teams and in hundreds of organizations. Few can tell at any moment if they are on track to achieve the organization's critical goals.4. Aligning the organization's work teams with your most important objectives is a never-ending battle. People and teams don't know the goals. The goals are not translated into day-to-day activities.3. People and teams don't keep score. Our research shows that execution breaks down in four ways:1. People and teams don't know what to do to achieve the goals. In addition, keeping teams engaged and focused on the top goals is critical. Either there are too many goals or the goals aren't clear.2. People and teams are not held accountable. For results, employees need relevant and timely feedback and regular accountability. The 4 Disciplines of Execution will help you eliminate these breakdowns.

"Excellent methodology, but redundant and Kindle version is very self-promotional" according to Carl S. This is an exceptional book that can be best summarized in one sentence: "Start with the end in mind." The book addresses how to get a team to focus on ultimate goals and work backwards. As a strategy consultant, I definitely found the book to be a solid read because it takes awa. "Great short principle-based self-help!" according to Ay-Ay-Ron!. I'm starting to notice that I'm collecting quite a bit of self-help from Covey. I play this audiobook during shorter drives, I like Chris' energy during the recording, keeps your self awake and engage on the conversation. Contents-wise, as always the way Covey has done in his oth. S. M. McMillion said Fix the Whirlwind and Avoid the Workaround. Interesting focus on execution. I really liked the idea of the whirlwind and how it can suck the life out of the most important efforts without the discipline to stay focused. It's always a leader's duty and responsibility to set clear priorities and keep people focused on them.
