DESCRIPTION:

"A one star" according to Ernest Dorsett. I really liked the previous three book in this series. This one was a struggle from cover to cover. I found it slow and very wordy. I just could not get into the time travel concept. There were too many loops. Too many things that drag the story out much more than it should have. If there is another book in this series I hope it follows along the lines of the first three books. This one was almost like it was written by a different author.. Ahh NO! I'll start off by saying that I really loved the first three books in the series, they were funny and exciting. I enjoyed the world Lex was living in and all the people that live there with him. I enjoyed the world Lex was living in and all the people that live there with him. Book 4 was almost the exact opposite. There was very little humor in it and there were plot holes you were expected to ignore for the sake of the story. And well there's Ma. I love Ma but not so much in this one. I did however love Coal. The very very end of the story was ambiguous as to what happened. And if what happened happenedno. I haven't lost faith in . was almost the exact opposite. Disappointing I really enjoyed the first three books in Joseph Lallo's Big Sigma series. The characters were very interesting, the plots engaging, and the pace fast - real page-turners. So I couldn't wait for this fourth story. I even preordered it so I could read it right away. But Temporal Contingency let me down. Perhaps Mr. Lallo overreached this time, or perhaps I was just jaded, but I found the writing very talky and the pace consequently much too slow. I did like what he did with Ma, the AI character, but the rest just left me cold. And the cover - really?
