in the words of a business noobie AmiN Although i did not understand the business deals and the financial ideas like a business pro would. but this book kept me turning pages because how it is written, personal matters of warren intertwined with business let you go inside the head of a giant man and learn something about success.I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for inspiration.. If you're into biographies, this is a good one. JP Stonestreet I read this book on a beach in the Caribbean so my review may be tainted by the warm sands, cool ocean breeze and sun tanned bodiesbut I really liked this book. It's fascinating to hear the life stories of people who started so small and made it so big. And there's no one who's made it bigger than Warren Buffett. If you like studying the principals of success like I do, pay close attention to the pivotal moments of Buffett's life. Most of them involved an adventure, a connection made with someone influential, and a lot of risk. And this biography . Buy the Original, not the Updated & Condensed - It's a 5 star book I love this book however the condensed version is missing the freshness and honesty of the first publication. Reads almost the same if you want the big picture, but the parts removed revealed the personality, fragility and humanness of Mr. Buffett and his family. Like many others' sentiments, this is a man I would like to meet.

Yet notable though his wealth may be, Buffett’s legacy will not be his ranking on the scorecard of wealth; it will be his principles and ideas that have enriched people’s lives. He set out to prove that nice guys can finish first. None of this fits the term “simple.” When Alice Schroeder met Warren Buffett she was an insurance industry analyst and a gifted writer known for her keen perception and business acumen. Although the media track him constantly, Buffett himself has never told his full life story. It was an act of courage, as The Snowball makes immensely clear. Buffett is or how he got that way. The Snowball

Inspiring managerial advice abounds and competes with gossipy tidbits (the married Buffett's very public relationship with Washington Post editor Katherine Graham) in this rich, surprisingly affecting biography. From Publishers Weekly In this startlingly frank account of Buffett's life, Schroeder, a former managing director at Morgan Stanley—and hand picked by Buffett to be his biographer—strips away the mystery that has long cloaked the word's richest man to reveal a life and fortune erected around lucid and inspired business vision and unimaginable personal complexity. In a book that is dominated by unstinting descriptions of Buffett's appetites—for profit, women (particularly nurturing maternal types), food (Buffett maintained his and his family's weight by "dangling money")—it is refreshing that Schroeder keeps her tone free of judgment
