DESCRIPTION:

Master of lorcith. And somehow he's the key to ending it.. Pawn of the Forgotten. Others know of his ability and seek to use him. Gifted with Sliding. But the scholars want Rsiran for the same reason as the Forgotten. This ability makes him powerful, perhaps too powerful for some. Rsiran now understands that he can use not only the arcane power of lorcith, but also that of heartstone. While he strives to discover why, what he finds changes everything that he has come to believe, as he learns that the struggle he's seen is only the beginning to a greater battle. After Brusus is attacked, Rsiran makes a decision that requires an unlikely ally, and brings him to dangerous Thyr, where the Scholars of Venass offer their aid, but for a price

"Hints of genius make it worthwhile" according to SeoulWanderer. Live the story and world and abilities. I love the intrigue and political makings of a great cold war becoming actualized. However constant repetition and the use of the negative hypothetical makes some of the reading tedious. I hope author grows in this for this series has a long future.. Great plot, but needs more editing Dillon Mccardell I love this series and it just keeps getting better. Despite this, these books never got enough editing. I've read a sentence more than once where I've had to go back and, in my mind, reword it so it made more sense. The largest mistake was when Rsiran was searching for Lorcith in the palace and he sensed his forgings. It said "he almost lost focus upon that realization" or something. He said the same thing in book two. Exactly. At that point Rsiran had known there were his forgings in palace for many months. Ever since he went atop Krali Rock to search. "Awesome book!!" according to David A Black. I so much enjoyed this book and two before that I cannot stop reading until it is finished. Once I read the first, I had to buy all three of them. Mr. Holmberg is a terrific writer and his store line is refreshing. I just wish he would allow the main character to progress in his abilities instead of having him get caught every time by his naivety and lack of power.
