It's often not understood but merely tolerated, and that's the best that can be done. The description of how it is to live in primitive condition. A Page Turner from the Start Great book. I could hardly put it down. Hard to believe adventures Tisha put herself and her future husband through when they took the trip to rescue children that were being sent to the Indian Village. You will learn about the different peoples in Depression Era Alaska. Not everyone there is a nice, concerned neighbor. I highly recommend this book if you like non-fiction adventure books.. Brady Buchanan said PREJUDICES BEYOND BLACK AND WHITE. A wonderful, heartfelt true story of times gone past where many moons have gone by and a much simpler life style in a forbidding country that is just fine for most of its inhabitants. There is love and hate and experiences inbetween with a good feeling of those times in a forbidding atmosphere. A grand read indeed.
