Scamp said Great book for little boys. I bought this for my 7 year old son who hates reading chapter books. Every night we read a chapter before bed and he loves it! This book seemed to capture his interest. It's about a boy who doesn't believe in himself, is being bullied and is wimpy. But his Navy Seal uncle comes in town for the summer and helps him build confidence, skills and strength. It's a great read for a child that struggles with schoolmates or has low self este. D. Stewart said This will challenge parents as well as your kids. Be ready to be a part of this journey in some way.. Parents be ready. I bought this book after listening to PowerfulJRE (Joe Rogan Podcast) where Jocko was the guest. Great podcast bought the book after learning Jocko has a book for kids. My son who isn't very motivated yet was excited about the book that when he started reading the book a fire lit from underneath him. He said to me, "Dad I'm going to get up tomorrow at 5am! Will you get up with me and help me??" In that moment after . "An excellent book. I read it myself first" according to Amazon Customer. An excellent book. And Uncle Jake has a plan. But what was the most awful thing about fifth grade? Kenny Williamson, the class bully, who called himself the "King of the Jungle". When Marc's mother tells him that his uncle Jake is coming to stay for the whole summer, Marc can't wait. Becoming a warrior isn't easy. Uncle Jake is a for-real super-cool Navy SEAL. Fifth grade was the worst year of Marc's life. He's going to turn Marc into a warrior. It means a lot of pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups, squats, swimming, eating right, and studying harder than ever before! Can Marc transform himself into a warrior before school starts in the fall - and finally stand up to the King of the Jungle himself?. He stunk at gym class, math was too hard for him, the school lunch was horrible, and his class field trip was ruined because he couldn't swim
