Both girls had history of being sexually abused by family members and just became ticking time bombs that detonated on Mrs. Brackett. Due to their young ages they were both let out. It's not really clear why they killed the elderly lady in the book did not really offer any insights to the reasoning of the two girls. Other than some obvious typos or editing errors, both the story of the two girls, and the railroad killer were interesting.This was a free book when I downloaded it. I'm glad the price was right.I had never heard of either the girls or the serial killer before. This book is a decent introduction to both.
