Financial basics should be taught in school.This is a good book for people in their twenties or even thirties who didn't get the basics, either because their parents didn't teach them or because they got in trouble early with credit card debt, or whatever reason.I think the advice is pretty sound.. At Last! I was taught some of this in school. My parents and in-laws taught me some of it. No one taught me all of it, nor put it together as well as Mr. Siegel does in this book. Thank you, Mr. Siegel.. with good advice, but it wasn't what I expected This is an okay book, with good advice, but it wasn't what I expected. I wanted something that would teach what a loan is, how to calculate the different types of interest so one could make fact-based decisions, and a more in-depth discussion of insurance and annuities.
