"In her own words" according to Kindle Customer. Very interesting to hear about Helen Keller's experiences in her own words. Far from being a captive to her disabilities, she lived a full and vibrant life. This was written during her college days. A very interesting read!. Hans Olaf said A real eye-opener (for us, if not for Helen herself).. Helen wrote this as a young girl, so it only covers her youthful struggles, and not the things she faced as an adult--but those were the most formative years anyway. It is amazing to see how quickly she blossomed, but she was brilliant anyway. We often think of her as just an ignorant little blind and deaf girl until Ann Sullivan took her in hand, and she was most certainly spoiled and stubborn--but not stupid! She'd developed dozens of hand signals on her own long before Ann came along.I've watched about every movie made about Helen Keller and Ann Sullivan, and love them--but her story of her childhood in her own eyes (well, figu. Jeff Brower said A great book written by a special lady. A great story written by a great lady, Helen Keller did a great job as well remembering everything from her childhood what happened and she had some really difficult times but she thank goodness overcame them and wrote a great book with the help of a very special person who helped her a lot with her challenges and was a great help to her.

The second book in Jan Karon’s bestselling Mitford series confirms that a trip to Mitford is good for the soul His attractive neighbor is tugging at his heartstrings. Only time will tell if the village parson can practice what he preaches. A wealthy widow is pursuing him with hot casseroles
