I like the way the author chose to tie the names together, and that the ties were not revealed too early. While the names were a bit confusing to keep straight, the fact that the relat. Years ago, I did read a swiftly tilting planet. On this attempted re-read, I only got have way though. I found the banter between the characters lackluster. The book(s) just didn't move ahead.I realize Disney is planning a cinematic version of Wrinkle, I will wait for the video.. Very different from the other books in the series This book is a fascinating journey back through time. You end up meeting many different characters, and the focus is on them rather than Meg. The story weaves together American history, Welsh mythology and L'Engle's own cosmology to tell a tale of how events can accumulate over time to shape history. In essence the book reads like a collection of serial short stories, one generation of characters following another.Overall it's a great story, but for me it struggled in two places.
