Well worth getting up early Laura B. I set my alarm several hours early so I could read this before work, and I don't regret the time. For me, Grisham's last few offerings have been hit and miss, with many of them having disappointing resolutions. While Camino Island does wrap up rather quickly, it did not feel rushed or unfinished.The characters really drive the novel, and I found them very engaging. Mercer, Bruce, Noelle, and the supporting cast are all. "Best for lovers of books." according to Daune Robinson. This was an interesting book. It was more appealing because it is in large part a story about books, authors and the book industry which is bound to appeal to people who love to read and to collect books. It fell short of five stars because it did tend to drag in spots and because the "heroine" of the story was more than a little annoying, unbelievably so.
