What a great story! Beaucoup good! Highly recommend! It's been a while since a story captivated me like this one, and in so many different ways. First, there's the main characters, the Sarrazin family; Maman Mireille, Papa Aurie, and children Sol, Baz and Lutie. Papa is a traiteur, Sol a traiteur-in-training. In French Acadiana, the term traiteur means a faith healer, but the kind of healing that Aurie and Sol practice is not what you might expect. Baz i. It was just okay to me, but that's just me For some reason I had a hard time reading this book and I really can't say why. I think maybe there were just too many trippy moments in this book. I typically like books about the supernatural but this one, not so much. There was a weird flow to the book as I was reading it, for me the story did not seamlessly flow together like so many other supernatural books I have read it felt choppy and awkward. .
