"I am very grateful for this book, and for the clean, honest wisdom it dispenses, and I would eagerly suggest it to anyone who's on a path of spiritual discovery. It was certainly not what I expected when I started reading, but by the time I reached the last page, I knew it was exactly what I needed to hear."- Sandra Carrington-Smith, author of Housekeeping for the Soul"This is a much needed book. I found Abbot George's description and analysis of various meditation-produced delusions (and the methods producing them) perceptive and quite interesting. While I cannot claim personal authority in this area, I will say that I found his use of an account by Ambrose of Optina as an example of what I guess I'll here call a "right meditation product" (for lack of any other term at present) very . Separating the "gold" from the "dross".EXCELLENT! I just finished reading Abbot George Burke's "Dwelling in the Mirror", and like his other work, it is a masterpiece. This is a must read for anyone who is seriously pursuing a spiritual path.He takes a very complex subject and presents it in an easy to read and understandable format, filled with personal insight and examples. It is not an easy thing, to untangle "Truth" from "perception" (and tactfully explain it!) but he has done it.I urge anyone who is just
