These arrangements are fantastic, and the CD is really helpful in learning the timing, although it's pretty fast to play along with I liked the guitar book so much I bought the mandolin book from the series as well.I'm pleased with it also. Really, I have not found another guitar flatpicking book that comes close to this one for great . Great book for beginners Whisky Smuggler Great book for beginners. That's what I would classify myself. It gives me a lot of tunes to work on. It makes for a good practice routine in learning my way around the fretboard. Would recommend it to others. The accompanying cd gives you an idea of the tune played properly. It helps enormously in getting up to pace once you've mastered the fingering. .
