Steven Spielberg does a solid job at telling the story of the book without spoiling the book. I've never read a Crichton (I can't even pronounce his last name) book before this one. Obviously, I picked this one up in honor of the release of Jurassic World, which I thought was a fun movie (though not much of a critical masterpiece). This book, of course, is a classic thriller with a sci-fi twist attached that sparked a whole generation of d. "Intense Thrill Ride" according to Admiralu. Having seen the film, I thought I was familiar with the book. WRONG. This excellent novel stands on its own and I can't help but wonder how the film would've been if they had stuck to the book.
