I hear more practicing! spark My daughters didn't really like practicing piano until they got this and the Performance books! I would definitely recommend for new piano players, the songs are fun and different than the boring traditional books I used.. The lesson book is easy to understand for an eight year old boy Mary The lesson book is easy to understand for an eight year old boy. The theory and sight reading go right along with the lessons. My son's piano teacher is happy with the learning curve presented in this book.. One of the best method books out there I have been teaching piano lessons for over twenty years now and the Faber and Faber method has been my favorite since college. I love how thorough the Faber's are, covering everything from technique to ear training, sight reading, theory, and artistry. My students are never disappointed by the song selection and the duets are the best I've heard from any method series.Highly, highly recommended.
