Nice book. Very good buy. TMJV Purchased this book for my son who is into Lucha & collects wrestling masks. It's a really nice looking book. The pictures are nice. One page has the picture and the opposite page is a quote from the wrestler and his name. The introduction is both in English & Spanish, but the quotes are only in English. In the back of the book it has all the same p. Five Stars Great Photo Book for Fans of Lucha Libre!!. "Loco fun" according to Sue55. Excellent photography and fun pics of the wild and varied costumes worn by Mexican wrestlers. Very colorful!

Malcolm Venville fell in love with the sport after catching a show in Mexico and spent several weeks photographing and interviewing wrestlers outside the ring in a small portrait studio. El Santo, the first luchador pop star, rarely took off his mask even in retirement, and was eventually buried in it. They offer such gems as: "American wrestling is more about the lighting," "My character is the fastest in Mexico, but not when I’m making love," and "I combine wrestling with stripping but wrestling’s my passion." The result is an even more hilarious and colorful look at this already entertaining spectacle—part sport, part soap opera—as well as a window into the life of a luchador, a world normally shrouded in mystery.
