Don't buy the print version dixiemuse I noticed that most people downloaded it on Kindle. Well, I bought the book. And all of the pictures are in black and white. ALL of them. How can you understand a Master's painting if the image is only in gray scale? The only color picture is the cover. And the criticisms about a lack of pictures is correct. I counted 16 pictures total, and there are 71 pages. The most useless black and white picture was the Human Color Wheel on page 41. In black and white (or gray). This was written and meant as a downloaded ebook. Ordering it as a $15+ paperback was truly a waste of money. Don't bother. Do. this book is a joke! RUN! How can anyone in their right mind think someone would pay money for this? Wow. Unbelievable. The low quality images must have been gathered off line. All the instructions are simplistic and do not have visuals to go with them. This book is a joke. Just an attempt to make a few bucks. Save yours!! Save yourself! Run! Glad it was free or I'd be ticked instead of laughing.. This is really a good book about oil painting. This is really a good book about oil painting but for someone who doesn't know the difference between brush types and sizes, I generally research what they look like to know what I’m buying. For anyone who loves to paint, this book is good for them, it will give you all the information you want about oil painting, with the tools that are used to paint, also a nice book for beginner too, will give you tips on drawing, and steps to paints.It is great as a reference I'm sure, and certainly that is what most will probably use it for.
