Not the best I LOVE Julie's books and have read (almost) every single one. I hadn't read this one yet, so I bought it expecting her usual wonderful stories. I hated the main character Bradford. Which is problematic, as he is supposed to be the hero. So sad. Maybe this was one of her first books, cause it didn't have to same flow and character development. I still love Julie Garwood's books, but this was hard to finish.. is one of my favorite Garwood heroines The heroine, Caroline, is one of my favorite Garwood heroines. She is clever, bold, and witty. The first meeting of the two main characters is hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed this book the first time I read it and every other time I read it.. "Good story!" according to Nana lost in a book. This was a good story! I thought the first half a little slow but it came together. One of the most intriguing characters, Benjamin, didn't stay very long. He could have been a wonderful addition, guarding Caroline, he was wonderful at almost everything. I wish the characters were more defined. Also, I looked for Caroline to shoot a little more. Somethings happened and you found out after it was over. I think of what it could have been.
