"I have Melissa's other books and love them all" according to Jo. This little book is packed with ideas and color photos. I have Melissa's other books and love them all. I don't always re-read my books but hers I do. I love her writing style-it's like sitting with a friend chatting over a cup of coffee or tea. (With her it would be coffee!) The only negative I can say about this book is that I've seen either these photos, or ones like them before. Since I have her other books (and follow her blog, The Inspired Room) I'm already familiar with her home photos. Maybe in her next book she can include. A. M. Edwards said Simple Decorating is really too simple.. The writing in this book is okay, it's genuine. It's also extremely basic and not anything I haven't read or seen before. The book is also a VERY small paperback not much more than a magazine. There are less inspirational photos that I would expect as well. Overall I wouldn't purchase again.. This book is a joy! Lynn You will love this book! So inspiring with so many great ideas and wonderful photographs. I love her style and she generously shares her thought processes and sources for everything. Style choices that are affordable and design ideas for rooms that reflect the family's personality. I have all her books and recommend them highly. You won't be disappointed.
