They . One of My Favorite's of the Series Sheila M SIZZLE AND BURN is the third book in the Arcane Society series. The Arcane series is a series about the society for those with psychic powers and those within the society who are attempting to create ways to enhance their powers for evil. The series takes place in three different eras (historical, contemporary and futuristic) as Jayne Ann Krentz writes books for this series under her name and two pseudonyms (Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle).SIZZLE AND BURN is the story of Raine Tallentyre, who hears voices when she touche. "Excellent!" according to Kindle Customer. Jayne Ann Krentz is one of those authors where I buy everything she publishes, even stories published under other names. I will admit that there have been a few duds along the way, but this one was stellar. I am enjoying the series more than I thought I would (I'm not into paranormal story lines in general). I won't try to recap the story line, but if you are a fan of her work you will certainly enjoy this book. Both hero and heroine are likeable, and the chemistry between them seems believable.
