So much great information, thank you Amazon Customer I ordered the Kindle version & after the first chapter or two I ordered the hard copy to have the tables & a copy that can be taken to the barn. We started out just to have meat for the table & I milk my Boers too. We don't need lots of milk. But this book helped me understand more cost effective, efficient management, & the possibility of having the goats pay for themselves now that I have my herd established. And best of all I didn't feel like an idiot & enjoyed th. A great start The book initially reads like an advertisement or brochure; convincing you as to why meat goats are a good idea. Then the next thing you know you're immersed in so much information about goats. It doesn't claim to know everything or try to be the only book you'll need, as it offers even more resources and references to help you get more information about goats. Really great read!. Bad formatting, important topics missing amsteele Generally good and seemingly credible advice throughout this book. Its weakness is in what was left out. There are some important topics left relatively untouched. As a meat goat novice I was hoping to get some specific questions answered. Example: Castration of buck kids - advantages and disadvantages? Methods and how-to advice? Marketing wethers vs. intact bucks? Other basic things were left unsaid, like when to first breed a young female, timing breedings/kidding
