Gift for my husband (who would like to be a Hobbit) I checked this out of our local library for my husband thinking it was just an audio book but it's actually a recorded play. He loved it and often told other people about it. So at Christmas I looked online for a copy he could keep and found it on Amazon. I think it was his favorite gift this year.. Ingrid said Vintage BBC drama. Tolkien's tale of the Hobbit was always one of my favourite books. I like this rendition very much, though it took some getting into liking the singing dwarves (that's the only part I feel is perhaps dated). The dramatization of Bilbo meeting Gollum is my favourite part, riveting stuff. This production is a full radio drama,.
