"Good Read" according to Cindy Wismer. I enjoyed this book but after the first half felt it was too sad and tragic. Not my favorite by this author- doesn't compare with The Plum Tree. I was also surprised to see so many errors and wonder how such a wonderful author would not have a better edited book.. A new insight into circus life Reiki Nana7 Ellen Marie Wiseman has created a unique twist on child abuse and the pain of being different. She shows such compassion for her characters!. Five stars with a caveat (and an update) I struggled quite awhile on how many stars to give this book. It definitely has all the elements that would make for a five star rating- It captured my attention from page one. It kept my interest throughout the whole book. In fact, I read it all in one day and even sat up late at night to see how it ended. I deeply cared about the story and the characters. It is a story I will long remember. Having said all that (no spoilers, tiptoeing here) I despised, absolutely DESPISED the ending!!! That's all I will say
