Impeccable research and good story An enjoyable read. Part 1 to part 3 are pre-war Paris, with a brief background of the heroine in England. I found it a bit slow but it gives a good picture of fashions and rivalries. Then follows Paris during the German Occupation and the meat of the story. Very well docume. This story had me from the start and I actually couldn't put it down, truly I stayed up through the night reading finishing at six a.m. . Long but detailed read I would give this novel 5 stars but it was just so long and drawn out that I had to dock it a bit.
