She knows his mother Anna disapproves of her but she has fallen in love with him. After so many broken relationships, she has finally found a man she can count on and who thinks of her son Sam as family. Nico also has a daughter from his first marriage, Francesca. This is a page tuner that kept me up many nights just to ready one more chapter. We rarely get a glimpse into true psychological abuseKerry Fisher captured it well (almost too well). I gave it four stars because the friend's character did not ring true as she seem to have insight but then lost it again. It made the story drag out a bit unnecessarily. Nevertheless, it was a very good book and I plan to read her other stories. Definitely worth the read.
