Amazon, why in the world do you require me to choose whether The Souls of Black Folk was "predictable" had "some twists" or was "full of surprises" - those descriptions are totally inappropriate. It is a slim read, and while some of it is clearly relevant to the times in which he lived, so mu. "A must read. I find it odd that these" according to BlueSapphire. A must read. I find it odd that these questions were asked of this book (i.e., How was the author's writing? Violence? Sexual content? Narrated?). Excellent! This book I have never read though it be of my ancestors. I am challenged and inspired. Thought it was of this time with many parallels. This book had not fallen "still born" but was reached a fertile generations!
