Overall a very nice book showing old photos vs the same location now. My grandparents lived in Beijing from 1919 to 1928 and this gave me a better understanding of what they saw every day.. 8 and this gave me a better understanding of what they saw every day.. Facinating I have travelled to China often. Its so interesting to see now and then pics. Think I like the before pics better. China has become so industrial and cosmopolitan its sad in some ways to see so much of gthe old fall to the bulldozer. Down memory lane Had a good time matching my father's photos to those in the book. Very difficult to find such photos now. Definitely will keep in my library for the next generation.
