Great sequel - with a cliffhanger Our kids from 7 to 15 and the parents enjoyed this series. It's full of adventure and courage and danger. Heather and Picket have a journey to protect each other and the future of the "Mended Wood" and rescue the families who are still imprisoned. The first title, "The Green Ember," was wonderful and we thought it stood alone well, too.The prequel, The Black Star of Kingston was also great. Our only disappointment is that we were all a bit dismayed to find that we are in for a wait before we ca
