Author Lisa Sanders, MD is a consultant on the hit TV show House (a personal favorite of mine) and uses her knowledge of the series for some of the basis of her book, Every Patient Tells a Story: Medical Mysteries and the Art of Diagnosis.I enjoyed reading this book as I travelled from work and really enjoyed the case studies illustrating her various points. I also loved the way she took Gregory House to task for his lack of listening to the patient (House's opinion: "Patients Lie") whereas the point of the book is to listen to the patient because each one has a unique story.. Good book groupworker Lisa is such a great writer and I enjoyed all of the stories. Reallt gives an appreciation for what doctors do when met with challenging situations. Also, special to read about trusting the patient.
