DESCRIPTION:

"Good story, terrible content editing and proofreading" according to PPL who love the South West. This is the 6th book I have read in this series and, while I have enjoyed the stories themselves, they are absolutely filled with odd, almost nonsensical phrasing, missing or incorrect words and various other editorial failings. The author will frequently describe someones particular talents, character, demeanor and/or clothing and accoutrements in painstaking detail several times within the series, which is understandable if he supposes anyone might be reading one book as a stand a. Four Stars with some reservations I LOVED the books up to this point. This one, I just liked it.Terry, you hate socialism and entitlement attitudes, and drive the point over and over again that although charity is a good thing, giving to others in need to one's own detriment is wrong wrong wrong and even worse when the government makes you do it. I got it. I really did. To an extreme. Repeatedly. That said, the writing itself is enjoyable, the characters are memorable, especially Richard. But to sum the book up, with. "awesome book for those who are patient" according to Carolyn. These books are starting to feel like wading through thick mud. I love the content but everything seems to be sooooooo drawn out! There is so much filler that doesn't seem necessary and then it kind of seems like the author gets sick of writing and just ends abruptly. I think this will be the last of the series I will be reading.

Free because of Richard's sacrifice for her, but unwilling to abandon the cause of the Midlands, Kahlan violates not only prophecy but her last pledge to Richard, and raises an army against the advancing horde of the Imperial Order. A Sister of the Dark captures Richard and takes him deep into the Old World, to the very heart of the Order, while his beloved Kahlan remains behind. Separated and fighting for their lives, Richard and Kahlan will be pushed to the limits of their endurance, and tested in their love for one another. They both must struggle at opposite ends of the world against the relentless, monolithic forces of the Imperial Order

(Chalk that up to part of the Wizard's First Rule: people really are stupid.) The two lovers soon find themselves separated, Richard off to the Old World thanks to treacherous Sister of the Dark Nicci, and Kahlan left behind, forced to betray Richard and his prophecy by raising an army to fend off the approaching armies of Emperor Jagang. Fantasy series fans may argue over the relative merits of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth, George R.R. To top that off, Lord Rahl finds himself a reluctant prophet with the vision that their cause, the fight for f
