Joseph M. said Great book, but Kindle problem. *Note: This is specifically for the Kindle edition. I own a kindle fire 1st gen.The book itself--meaning the content--seems fantastic. The problem is that the Kindle edition leaves something to be desired. Unfortunately, the tables are a little bit off and for some reason I have to swipe through the same page more than 10 times to get it to move to the actual next page. The first time it did this, I thought, "Mehthese things happen in book conversions." But, this multi-swiping of pages has happened roughly six or seven times already, and I'm only on the third chapter. It has made reading the book a b. Worth every dollar. David I'm a CPA in public practice. I prepare tax returns and field questions. The CPAs I office with have copies of the book throughout their firm. When I asked questions or when they were asked questions by colleagues, JKL was one of first sources referenced. My tax library is used for the complex questions; JKL, for the simple issues. Frequently clients ask questions which would take pages of e-mail text to answer. I copy the relevant pages in JKL, scan, and send the answer. My "research" starts with the table of contents - in a few pages I know the chapter where the topic is discussed. The index is ver. Gotta Have It! As I am an Old School dinosaur, using pencil, scrap paper, and a stand-alone calculator to prepare my returns from my folders of other papers, receipts, notes, etc. I cannot do without the Lasser Income Tax Guide from year to year (especially now that the U.S. Treasury version has become an on-line only item!). Always pleased with the thorough coverage along with the tax hints given for all the varying forms and schedules.
