She relies on her brains and female intuition and picks up on info. Pleasant way to pass a little time I'm a fan of mysteries and I have a special interest in the gaslight era. The Lady Molly stories are unique in some ways but share many common characteristics with other works of the time.Lady Molly is a lady in a highly class consciously era, who is a special assistant to Scotland Yard. This is behavior that is highly taboo for a woman of her class, but we're told that she has reasons. The reasons are finally given in the last sto. Love this Classic Mystery! :0) If you love Sherlock Holmes, you MUST read Lady Molly of Scotland Yard. Like Sherlock, it is written in 1st person from the point of view of the assistant. It's classic literature, so nice to have it on Kindle for those archaic words. First published in 1910, Orczy's female detective was the precursor of the lay sleuth who relies on brains rather than brawn.
