Each one stands on its own but reading them together gives better understanding of all characters involved.I always loved Nora Roberts books. This saga is no exception. Great series I am an avid Nora Roberts fan. I own just about all of her books and enjoy listening to them in audiobook form. I only semi-wish that I was a first timer to her stories, then I could appreciate the audiobooks for what they are and not dislike them in any way for the pieces of the stories that they are missing.
