I thought it would be like his last book with more of an explanation on technique but it seems to be more of a philosophical concept on his paintings.. This is an excellent companion to the original book Martin J. Crane I have a lot of books on painting and drawing, but I have always said that if I could only keep one, it would be Gregg Kreutz's "Problem Solving for Oil Painters." Now I have a problem--I have two oil painting books that I couldn't part with. This is an excellent companion to the original book, discussing concept and process essentials as they apply to portraiture, landscapes, interiors and still lifes. A pleasure to read and look at, I look forward to putting a lot of wear and tear on this book in the studio.
