"TWISTY." according to Mary Morrison. I'd like to add a real and constructive review of this book. I want to give insightful but genuine feedback because I feel it's helpful to the author. First, he seems to use dialogue that sounds exactly the way people talk. It's believable, but it could be a little more sophisticated, and in some places, could follow a little better. I suspect the simplicity of some of the lines was because of the age of the characters, so that is fine. This is my first read by Patrick. A short story horror/psychological thriller that has more twist and turns than you would expect in a short story novella. Just when you think you may have this thing figured out, bam, you get thrown in another direction. I was amazed at how quickly this plot turned around and I loved it. Psychological horror is one of my favorite genres to read, and I was not disappointed with this quick read. I will be reading more of Patrick’s work in the future, and I highly recommend this little re.
