The only criticisms I have are that I just cannot agree that all breeds are all "just dogs". You can't put a Beagle, Chihuahua, Border Collie, Akita, Bulldog, and Lab. There are devils and angels in every source for dogs. We need to talk about that. If you love dogs, are thinking about getting a dog, work with or on behalf of dogs, this is a must-read book. Kim Kavin provides a well researched and comprehensive picture of the many, many sources of dogs, literally on a global scale.
