I am a regular reader of business and leadership books and have to say this may be the best book, other than the bible, I have ever read! This should be required reading for everyone.,. Fantastic Some people don't like the book-as-metaphor concept, where the author tells a fictitious story as a teaching mechanism, then pulls out 5-20 "laws" "rules" or "nuggets of wisdom", one per chapter, then repeats them at the end. Be warned, that is the format of this book. Likewise, if you don't like "motivational" material. (A typical sales example - "The excellent salesman is on his tenth sales call of the day while the mediocre one is still planning on how he will do a great job on the first.)That said, when this book first came out in 1968, both of those approaches were somewhat new . This is a great book! Inspiring This is a great book! Inspiring! Not just for salespeople. It's a formula and a plan for success and happiness regardless of your present status Study and apply the wisdom in the Scrolls I first read this book in 1985 when I was 37, followed the plan laid out in the Scrolls and diligently applied the principles. Over a course of time I became a better person, opportunities began to flow to me and my income increased dramatically. I owe it in great part to this book and to James Allen's book "As a Man Thinketh" . Still study them today. They are a must read for my children and grand c
